ABOUT THE PODCAST

The Family Tree is a weekly podcast exploring parenting, identity, and family life through a grounded, values-led lens.

Some weeks we speak with experts and practitioners. Other weeks, we reflect, chat, and unpack the everyday moments that shape family life. Always, we aim to create conversations that feel supportive rather than prescriptive.

Our intention is simple:
To help families feel more informed, more seen, and less pressured - while trusting themselves to decide what works for them.

Who We Are

BREE
COSGROVE

INTRODUCING BREE

Bree Cosgrove is the Managing Director of The Brisbane Possums Clinic, Possums Practitioner & Educator and most importantly, a mother to her two young boys.

Bree understands the profound need for compassionate, informed support during the early years of family life. In a landscape often filled with conflicting advice, her work is grounded in holistic, evidence-based approaches that prioritise the mental wellbeing of the entire family unit.

Bree brings clarity, calm, and deep care to The Family Tree - helping translate evidence into support that feels practical, reassuring, and human.

JESS
ROONEY

INTRODUCING JESS

Jess is the founder of The Eve Studio, a marketing studio specialising in mother-led marketing - supporting digital brands and service-based businesses that cater to women, families, and children.

A mother of two, Jess is deeply passionate about supporting women through motherhood - particularly in maintaining confidence, identity, and self-trust as they navigate family life. Her work sits at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and care, with a strong belief that mothers deserve to feel supported, capable, and seen.

Through The Family Tree, Jess brings a thoughtful, curious lens to conversations around parenting, identity, and modern family life - blending lived experience with reflection and warmth.

WHY WE CREATED THE FAMILY TREE PODCAST

Because parenting doesn’t need more noise - it needs better conversations.

Conversations that make space for evidence and lived experience.
For joy and challenge.
For certainty and curiosity.

The Family Tree is a place to grow things gently.
